Exhibit at Beatnik Studios

I was invited to participate in a collective exhibit along with other members of the Focus Group - a gathering of Sacramento photographers - at the Beatnik Studios and Gallery. I chose to display four images from "Retratos no Mercado," a series of portraits I created this past June in my hometown of Fortaleza, CE Brasil. This project came when I was asked to photograph the city's oldest market from my own point of view. I was immediately drawn to the butchers.

Here are a few images from the fabulous day that Lauren and Tom married. The union of these two lovely people of different backgrounds happened in a day filled with harmony and beauty. They and their families were amazingly good company and I felt lucky to be a part of their celebration.

Our Wedding Magazine

The editor of Our Wedding Magazine selected my images of the wedding of Lauren and Tom Muscatine to be profiled in the "local affair" section of the Fall/Winter 2008 issue. Lauren and Tom married on September 1st 2007 at Tom's family vineyard in Napa. I am happy to know Lauren has just given birth to their first child, the lovely Lavender.
